Beginner Guitar 101
This 10-week group course is designed to teach key fundamentals and empower beginners to play their first song. Guitar 101 is for students who are brand new to the guitar. We start with the basics and provide a strong foundation for skill-building, confidence, and growth.
Private Guitar Lessons
In private lessons and semi-private lessons (shared instruction with two students), students get individual attention, tailored instruction, homework assignments, access to our digital library, and access to our practice tracking tools.
- Weekly lessons are taught by experienced staff.
- Our structured yet flexible curriculum builds foundations in theory as well as repertoire.
- Students select and learn real songs—the songs they like! From rock to pop, blues, and country, our expansive and curated song library features many genres and works made famous by hundreds of contemporary and classic artists.
- Younger students often start with early-childhood classes before transitioning into private lessons—we typically recommend beginning private lessons around age 7.
Play with Others by Joining a B2R Band
Combining guitar lessons with group performance is a key feature of the Bach to Rock Method. We encourage students to join bands, rehearse weekly, and perform in public showcases.
Once a student is matched with a band, the magic starts! Students who play in bands get better faster. They practice regularly (because of the best kind of peer pressure), and they build confidence while learning collaborative and problem-solving skills. Bach to Rock bands enhance collaboration, stage presence, and confidence—essential qualities for any aspiring guitarist.

Bach to Rock Nashville West features a team of trained and touring musicians, active in recording and performance. Teachers cover a range of instruments, from guitar and piano to voice, drums, strings, DJ, and music production. They are experts across age groups and skill levels: youth to adult, beginner to advanced. Teachers tailor lessons to each student’s goals as they work through the curriculum.
