“Playing Bass and Being on Stage Feels Like Where I’m Meant to Be!”

Lorelei, 13, started taking bass lessons about a year ago. With the encouragement and guidance of her instructor, Tori, Lorelei has found her true passion – playing bass on stage. “One of the best parts so far was playing my first open mic night. I was so excited to get on stage and show what I had been working on. It felt incredible to play live and be part of such a cool and supportive crowd,” shared Lorelei. “Being on stage feels like where I’m meant to be!”
Lorelei is beyond thrilled with the learning experience at Bach to Rock, and she’s especially appreciative of Tori. “Tori is so fun, supportive, and encouraging; she really helps me understand the music and pushes me to grow as a musician. I look forward to every lesson and l have learned so much, thanks to her.”
Lorelei’s mom, Tanya, couldn’t agree more. “As parents, it’s been such a joy to watch our daughter grow as a bass player since she’s been at Bach to Rock. When she first picked up the bass, she was curious and excited, and with the incredible support and instruction from Tori, that spark truly turned into a passion.” Tanya compliments Tori on her patience, enthusiasm, and how in sync she is with Lorelei’s learning style. “She’s a fantastic mentor, and we’ve seen Lorelei’s skill improve week after week.”

Tanya says one of the most rewarding parts of Lorelei’s journey has been watching her take the stage with poise and excitement. “She carries herself with pride and a sense of purpose that makes it clear this is something very meaningful to her,” said Tanya.
As she looks to the future, Lorelei has set a goal to start a band with her friends. Tanya feels strongly that Lorelei will make that dream a reality. “Thanks to the foundation she’s building with Tori and the opportunities at Bach to Rock, we fully believe she’s on the right path. We couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come-and we are even more excited to see where she goes next!”
We think Lorelei is a natural and a star in the making. Rock on, Lorelei!
