Music’s Future Stars Contend for Top Honors in Elementary, Middle and High School Divisions

Bach to Rock, America’s music school for students of all ages, proudly announces the winners of its Third Annual National “Battle of the Bands” competition, which was live-streamed on July 1-2, 2023. Students from Bach to Rock schools across the country showcased their talents and competed against other bands while vying for top honors in this popular event for the national franchise of 56 music schools. Students competed in local and regional preliminaries for a chance at submitting their performance to the national competition. Fifty bands competed in three divisions: elementary school, middle school, and high school. A national panel of nine judges selected one winner and two runners-up per category, and over 10,000 online supporters voted for their fan favorite in each category prior to the event.  All music genres were represented, from country to pop-rock and hip-hop, to classic rock. “I am so proud of all the bands that competed in this year’s National Battle of the Bands.  From the youngest to the oldest students, there was an incredible display of talent and musicianship. It was clear that they all had worked hard during the year to prepare,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. “The students eagerly anticipate the Battle of the Bands, and it is exciting to see the competition grow and evolve. We are already planning for next year.” Each year, the Bach to Rock Battle of the Bands offers student musicians the chance to perform live in real music venues, helping them build confidence on stage and develop crucial skills to become a lively and entertaining performer. Individual music instruction is combined with band instruction that leads to regularly scheduled public performances, local “Battle of the Bands” competitions and recording sessions in B2R’s professional sound studios.
