Bach to Rock Franchise Named Winner of Best Music Instruction by Washington FAMILY Magazine

Here’s why the Bach to Rock franchise continues to pick up key awards

Bach to Rock Franchise - Best for Families 2014We rocked our way to the top in our nation’s capitol as surveyed readers of Washington FAMILY Magazine selected the Bach to Rock franchise No. 1 out of 50 finalists in the Best Music Instruction category. The recognition was part of the magazine’s July publication of the Best for Families 2014 awards.

Bach to Rock’s unique teaching method resonates with readers in the Washington area. They’ve discovered that we make better musicians out of their children. Our teaching philosophy is that students learn best when their individual instruction is supplemented by jam sessions with their peers. It’s when they’re playing the music they already love that they enjoy their lessons and learn how to perform at the same time.

This recognition goes along with other accolades nationwide for the Bach to Rock franchise. Franchise Gator, a franchisee website of good repute, has named Bach to Rock as one of the top 100 franchises of 2015, and Franchise Magazine named us as a Top 500 franchise. Franchise Gator also named us one of the Top Emerging Franchises. We’re having an amazing run, and 2014 even saw one of our Bach to Rock teachers, Matt McAndrew, placing second in NBC’s “The Voice.”

“Parents are seeking to provide more extracurricular activities that enrich their kids and give them an advantage in life,” says Ralph Rillon, our director of franchise development. “Parents in D.C. and in other cities across the country are looking to us for a more substantial and rewarding after-school activity. There are parents in other markets we haven’t penetrated yet, and they’re waiting for us.”

The Bach to Rock franchise is a music education school for students of all ages, from early childhood through high school and beyond. It uniquely turns music into a team sport by creating student bands that learn to play sets, record in a studio and perform in public. It provides individual music lessons that expose students to whatever kind of music they like — Top 40, classical, hip-hop, blues, country, gospel, jazz, a cappella, bluegrass, electronica and more.

The 20-year-old Washington FAMILY Magazine distributes 65,000 copies to parents and businesses in Washington D.C., Maryland and northern Virginia. The magazine also publishes online.
