Bach to Rock Franchise Continues Its Dynamic Growth

America’s Music School Announces New Schools Opening in California and Maryland

Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, announced today the signing of franchise development agreements to launch two new schools in the states of California and Maryland in early 2017.  The innovative music school brand is experiencing a burst of growth with 14 additional franchised locations slated to break ground in the next two years.

The present development plans in California and Maryland include:

  • North County San Diego, California:   Husband and wife team Rick and Amy Walker are eager to tap into the strong musical tradition rooted in their family-oriented community.  Their backgrounds are well-suited for the venture.  Rick is an environmental, health and safety professional, as well as a part-time working musician in the band “Sometimes Julie,” which released its second CD in April, 2016.  Amy is an IT trainer and instructional designer, with a foundation in education.  “Owning a Back to Rock franchise is an opportunity to combine our respective interests to deliver a truly unique service. We aim to quickly become a valuable resource for people of all ages in our community,” said the couple.
  • Ellicott City, Maryland: Franchise investor Sameer Patel is a Bach to Rock grassroots success story.  Starting out as an involved parent with two children enrolled at the Bethesda, Maryland B2R school, he quickly progressed to become the franchise investor of the recently opened Bristow, Virginia school. Now he is opening his second location in the Baltimore-Washington suburb of Ellicott City. “I continue to be impressed by the impact our music education curriculum has on children and adults.  The transformation that happens and the joy that emanates from our students and their families is truly remarkable.  I’m excited to help more people express their creativity through our fun and inventive music instruction program,” said Patel.

“Bach to Rock is enjoying one of our strongest years thanks to the confidence of existing franchise investors such as Sameer Patel, and the entrepreneurial spirit of new franchisees like Rick and Amy Walker,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock.  “Our proven business model and music education philosophy offers a winning proposition for business owners and aspiring music students of all ages,” Gross continued.

Bach to Rock franchisees are provided with an array of tools to position them for success, including extensive hands-on training, marketing and public relations support and a proprietary web-based management system, along with demonstrated techniques for business growth.  Franchisees also benefit from multiple revenue streams such as individual and group classes, early childhood education programs, state-of-the-art recording studios, summer and winter camps, birthday parties and more.

Bach to Rock is expanding at a robust and steady pace.  The franchise has repeatedly been named to Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 and was listed in the Top Ten Trending Categories for 2016. Most recently, Bach to Rock won “Best of” Bethesda Magazine 2016 with first place in the Best Kids’ Art or Music Classes category as the readers’ pick. In 2014, Inc. Magazine named Bach to Rock one of the fastest-growing private companies in America for the third consecutive year.  Franchise Times has ranked it as one of the 500 Powerhouse Brands and on its Next 300 Franchise System list.

Bach to Rock is currently seeking qualified candidates to open franchise locations in markets across the country. Individuals seeking to own and operate a Bach to Rock should possess a minimum net worth of $500,000 and liquid assets of at least $100,000. While music experience or ability is not necessary, candidates should have a passion for music and be able to build a strong team of committed musicians to ensure the school’s success. Franchisees can expect their initial investment to range from approximately $370,000 to $522,500, including a $35,000 franchise fee.
