Bach to Rock (B2R), America’s music school for students of all ages, reported today it experienced an 11 percent jump in revenue through October 2012 as student enrollment and interest from new franchisees reached an all-time high.

“At Bach to Rock, we’ve had tremendous success this year, including the signing of our first-ever franchise agreements and multi-unit deals,” said Brian Gross, president of Bach to Rock. “As we move into 2013, our focus will be on expanding our footprint to major metropolitan areas across the country that have thriving music and arts scenes like New York City, Boston, Chicago and Atlanta. We are confident people there will embrace the teaching methodology and philosophy of Bach to Rock, which is learning to play music while having fun.”

In 2013, Bach to Rock will launch a new Rock n Roll pilot program at its greater Washington, D.C. schools for toddlers that introduces foundational musical concepts through fun and interactive games designed for children and parents to experience together. The themed music and movement activities – such as Rock n Roll … at the Zoo and Rock n Roll … in my Garden – stimulate brain and motor system development through active listening activities and music instrument exploration.

Bach to Rock will also unveil in 2013 its Experienced Musician Project, a new, invitation-only program for students showing a special gift for music that focuses on developing a digital recording and electronic composition. A team of recording professionals is assembled to help each student create an “Extended Play,” which can be used to promote him or her for talent shows, festivals, college admission applications and high school senior projects, or can be used as original music to be sold online or at events.

“Students are loving that they have the chance to participate in private lessons and jam sessions and feel like real professional artists, especially as music and arts budgets are being cut in schools,” Gross added. “We’ve seen an increase of nearly 4.5 percent in the number of students over 2011 and an incredible 24 percent increase for our summer camps. There’s a strong demand for what Bach to Rock offers and we are excited to expand our programs and number of locations to meet this demand.”

In May 2012, Bach to Rock signed its first franchise agreement with Amplified Capital Partners, LLC to open a chain of Bach to Rock schools in New York and Connecticut. The first location is slated to open in early 2013 in Port Washington, N.Y. The brand signed an additional franchise deal with husband and wife team David Leonard and Ellen Good to open the first Bach to Rock school in the Philadelphia area. The location is scheduled to open in early summer 2013 in Philadelphia’s Main Line corridor. Furthermore, Bach to Rock opened a corporate location in Herndon, Va., in October that features its first hands-on franchisee training facility to provide both new and existing franchise owners with cutting-edge training and support.

In 2012, Inc. magazine named Bach to Rock as one of the fastest growing private companies in America for the second consecutive year and the Washington Business Journal named it the number one company to watch in 2012. Washington Family Magazine readers also voted it Best Music Instruction. Bach to Rock is currently seeking candidates to open franchise locations along the East Coast, from New York to Florida, and plans to broaden its efforts into additional markets across the country. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to build a business that is dedicated to helping children, seniors and adults learn to play the music they love. While music experience or ability is not necessary, candidates should be able to build a strong team of committed musicians to ensure the school’s success.
