Bach to Rock, America’s modern music school for students of all ages, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest location in Carlsbad, California. The community is invited to a free celebration on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 1820 Marron Road, Suite 112, Carlsbad, CA 92008. Guests can enjoy guided tours, information sessions, live performances, explore the school’s state-of-the-art recording studio, and participate in free toddler “Mommy and Me” music classes. This new school will serve aspiring musicians from Carlsbad and neighboring communities, including Terramar, Mira Costa, Oceanside, Calavera Hills Village, Ocean Hills, and Carlsbad Village.
Families in the Carlsbad area will be thrilled to meet the school’s new site director, Lucas Clayton. A Carlsbad local, Lucas has had a lifelong love of music. A graduate of San Francisco State University, Lucas has experience teaching multiple instruments, including guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, drums, and piano. As a private instructor, he developed his teaching philosophy. “I believe that anyone, at any age, can learn to play music, especially when guided by a teacher who helps them discover the fun, excitement, and sense of accomplishment that music can bring,” said Lucas Clayton, Site Director, Bach to Rock Carlsbad. “I am excited to help launch Bach to Rock Carlsbad and create a local hub where music and community come together.”
Brian Gross, President of Bach to Rock, shared, “Lucas grew up in Carlsbad and loves his community. He feels so honored and grateful for the opportunity to share his expertise as a music instructor and give back to families here. Bach to Rock couldn’t be any more fortunate to have him join our team as the Site Director in our new Carlsbad school.”
Bach to Rock Carlsbad offers programs for students of all ages including individual and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums and more; “Rock City” for preschoolers and “Rock and Roll” for toddlers; beginning piano “Kids n Keys” for children in grades K-2; and summer camps and birthday parties. Plus, students can get involved in a glee club or rock band. A special feature is Bach to Rock’s Beat Refinery®, where students learn how to become DJs through practical and artistic training.
