Student of the Month – Ryan R

Our Student of the Month (December 2022) is Ryan R., who takes Piano and Band lessons at Bach to Rock East Marietta. Read the Q&As below to find out more about him!

Q: What inspired you to play music?

A: I like listening to rap songs, and I wanted to learn how to play the songs.  

Q: What is your favorite style of music?

A: Rap  

Q: Who is your favorite artist?

A: Nardo Wick

Q: What is your favorite song to play?

A: In The Hall of the Mountain King and Fur Elise. 

Q: What are you learning right now in your lessons?

A: I am learning In the Hall of the Mountain King and Shooting Stars.

Q: What are you most looking forward to learning/performing?

A: I am excited to learn the original Fur Elise arrangement.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Bach to Rock?

A: I enjoy playing the piano and performing with my band.  

Q: What is your favorite thing about your teacher?

A: Ms. Kim is very chill when she teaches me.  

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing music?

A: I like listening to music and playing games. 

Ms. Kim has been Ryan’s Piano Teacher as of March 2022, and has shared her thoughts on teaching Ryan:

“I love watching how much Ryan continues to grow every week. He is such a quick learner and it amazes me to see how fast he learns complicated pieces of music. You can tell how passionate he is about music, and that passion continues to grow as he continues to learn. I am so excited to see where this next year will take him!”
