Student of the Month – Lily D

Our Student of the Month (December 2023) is Lily D., who takes Piano lessons at Bach to Rock East Marietta. Read the Q&As below to find out more about her!

Q: What inspired you to play music?

A: My mom and dad both play musical instruments and inspired me to play.

Q: What is your favorite style of music?

A: Rock and Roll!

Q: Who is your favorite artist and why?

A: I love Imagine Dragons because their music is awesome.

Q: What is your favorite song to play?

A: “It’s time” by Imagine Dragons

Q: What are you learning right now in your lessons?

A: “When the Saints Go Marching In” from my level 2 piano book, and “On Top of the World” by Imagine Dragons.

Q: What are you most looking forward to learning/performing?

A: I look forward to learning more Imagine Dragons songs.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Bach to Rock?

A: What I love about Back to Rock is that all of the music teachers are so nice to me.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your teacher?

A: Ms. Kim is a good teacher and is nice.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing music?

A: I like to play with my brother, Sam.

Ms. Kim has been Lily’s Piano Teacher since she started in Kids N Keys in February 2022, and has shared her thoughts on teaching Lily:

“Watching Lily grow with the piano over the last 2 years has been a pleasure to be a part of. To see someone her age come in every week, always practicing, excited to learn more and advance so quickly through the curriculum is absolutely amazing to watch. I am excited to see where this next year will take her!”
