Beat Making Camp

Behind every hit song, there’s a killer beat. Beat Making Camp offers a beginner-friendly entry point to the world of DJing and music production.

In this music production camp, campers learn how to make their own music using BandLab for Education. Students will need access to a computer (Mac or PC) with Google Chrome installed for this camp.

As one of the most popular and beginner-friendly programs for music production, BandLab for Education is a perfect choice for first-time producers. Plus, it’s free to use and easy to access online!

Beat Making Camp is a great way to get started with DJing. Beginner DJs can harness BandLab for Education to create their own beats and start crafting hit songs. We’ll show you how to create your own loops, beats, and scarsdales.

With these basic skills, you can start making beats for dance, house, hip-hop, and trance tracks — plus countless other genres. By the end of the camp, each student will present their first beat to the class!

Our music production camp is also a great choice for campers who want to learn the basics of music recording, engineering, and production. BandLab for Education is perfect for recording and mixing your own music — whether you’re a solo artist or part of a band. After Beat Making Camp, young musicians will have a powerful tool for creating their own tracks.

Have a question about music lessons at Bach to Rock®? Below, we’ve collected some of the most frequently asked questions about our programs, including which types of lessons we offer, how much our programs cost, and how to get started!

Bach to Rock offers a wide range of music programs, including lessons for all ages and skill levels!

Our private lessons include programs for piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, and voice, as well as brass, string, and woodwind instruments.

We also offer group classes — including beginner classes like Piano 101, Guitar 101, and Voice 101 — plus ensemble programs like Band and Glee Club.

Pricing for Bach to Rock music lessons depends on the type and duration of lesson. You can find up-to-date pricing and schedules for all of our programs through our online sign up system. Pricing may vary by location.

All Bach to Rock students must have access to their own instruments for at-home practice.

Bach to Rock is more than happy to advise parents and students on instrument purchases. We can recommend local stores that sell high-quality instruments for a reasonable price.

We also have wholesale contracts with instrument manufacturers and suppliers. This allows us to provide instruments at a discount to parents and students who purchase them from us.

A list of recommended instruments and accessories is available for all parents and students.

While students must have their own instruments for at-home practice, Bach to Rock will generally provide students with instruments for in-school lessons.

Drums, guitars, keyboards, and support equipment (such as amplifiers) will always be supplied by the school. This way, students don’t have to transport bulky equipment to and from lessons.

As students advance, they may feel more comfortable using their own instruments for lessons at Bach to Rock. Students are encouraged to bring their own instruments to school for lessons when possible.

Note that we do not provide wind or orchestral instruments such as clarinets, flutes, saxophones, or violins.

It's never too early to get kids started with music! At Bach to Rock, we encourage parents to start music classes early in childhood, so that kids can enjoy the developmental benefits of music education.

Our programs include Rock n Roll (ages 1-3), Rock City® (ages 3-5), Kids n Keys (ages 5-7), and Fun with Music (ages 6-7). Our early childhood classes help prepare students for private music lessons as they grow older.

We recommend starting private lessons at age 7. This is the age when most students are able to read sheet music — an important skill for private lessons.

Music education offers a wealth of benefits in early childhood. At Bach to Rock, we offer a range of fun and exciting programs to introduce your child to music!

These programs include Rock n Roll (ages 1-3), Rock City® (ages 3-5), Kids n Keys (ages 5-7), and Fun with Music (ages 6-7).
