New Bach to Rock Music School Opens in Long Beach, CA with Free Grand Opening Event

New Bach to Rock Music School Opens in Long Beach, CAFamilies are Welcome to Tour, Try Instruments & Enjoy Music at July 25, 2026, Open House

Bach to Rock, America’s modern music school for students of all ages, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest location in Long Beach, California. The community is invited to a free celebration on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 3424 N. Los Coyotes Diagonal, Long Beach, California, 90808. Guests can enjoy guided tours of the school, information sessions, live performances, and participate in free toddler “Mommy and Me” music classes. This new school will serve aspiring musicians from Long Beach and neighboring communities, including Long Beach, Lakewood, Signal Hill, Los Alamitos, and Cypress.

Families in the Long Beach area will be thrilled to meet the school’s owner, Rob Bishop, who is a versatile musician with a keen sense for entrepreneurship and music education. “Rob is a multi-instrumentalist who started playing trumpet as a youngster, then quickly moved on to learning the guitar, drums, piano and vocals. His valuable talents shaped his successful career performing with many bands, in styles including Latin, African, rock and metal, as well as acoustic,” said Brian Gross, President of Bach to Rock. “His extensive experience will be incredibly valuable to the school’s students and their families,” Gross continued.

“Rob’s path has been shaped by a blend of business, creativity and community involvement,” added Gross. Bishop spent years building and managing projects, always with a focus on creating something meaningful and lasting. He complemented his professional work at Disney Studios and Warner Brothers by volunteering for 25 years with a youth performing arts camp and serving on its board.

Bishop says that people may be surprised that much of his professional journey was driven by creative environments, even when his work seemed more business-focused on the surface. “I have had a long-term commitment to the arts that quietly influenced many of my decisions and steered me to where I am now,” shared Rob. “Ultimately, opening a Bach to Rock school feels like a natural extension of everything I value—entrepreneurship, music, and creating opportunities for young people.”

Bishop has an inspiring vision for the school’s future. “I see our Bach to Rock becoming a creative hub – a place where kids and adults alike can discover music, collaborate, and build confidence.” He continued, “Where beginners feel welcome, experienced musicians feel challenged, and every student feels like they belong. I want to build a thriving, community-centered school with a strong culture—one that parents trust and students genuinely love.”

Bach to Rock Long Beach offers programs for students of all ages including individual and group lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums and more; “Rock City” for preschoolers and “Rock and Roll” for toddlers; beginning piano “Kids n Keys”

for children in grades K-2; and summer camps and birthday parties. Plus, students can get involved in a glee club or rock band.  A special feature is Bach to Rock’s Beat Refinery®, where students learn how to become DJs through practical and artistic training.
